William Bouguereau

William Bouguereau, The Oreads - Musee d'Orsay

We visited the Musee d'Orsay yesterday. Gorgeous building. Nice collection. Very crowded. I've discovered a painter that I don't recall knowing in the past and whose work I really love - William Bouguereau (1825-1905).

Google "images" for his name and see some beautiful works.

My other favorite there was a very bold and very beautiful Gustave Courbet painting that I can't show here as I may have younger viewers. If anyone is interested in it, contact me and I will send you the details.
