Christmas Season

Last night we put up the lights on the tree. I like to just have nothing but the lights on the tree for a few days. The tree is simple and beautiful that way. Not such a great shot with the iPhone. I hope to get better photos this week.

We also hung stockings by the fireplace. Those of you who were at our wedding will recall the photograph sitting on the mantle right now was what we used at the reception. We rent our house and haven't yet decided if we want to drill holes in the walls to hang all of our photography and paintings. So for now we rest pieces on the fireplace mantle and on the floor along the walls. It is fun because we can move pieces around easily all the time to fit the mood.

I love this time of the year.
